J. Berry Hykin

Berry has worked with Woodward and Company since 2004. She has a Bachelor of Arts with honors in Classical Studies from the University of Victoria, with an emphasis on ancient languages and archaeology.

She obtained her LL B. at the University of Victoria where she focused on aboriginal law, including aboriginal rights and title, self-governance, economic development and cultural conflict. Berry was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2006.

Berry’s primary practice areas are aboriginal title and rights litigation, band governance, on-reserve administrative and land-use issues, and family law. Berry has a particular interest in Alternative Dispute Resolution and has completed the Continuing Legal Education Society of B.C.’s Family Law Mediator’s training.
