Eamon Murphy



Eamon was called to the British Columbia Bar in May of 1999, and to the Manitoba Bar in February of 2000. In addition to his aboriginal and environmental law practice, Eamon has a busy practice in the areas of employment law, copyright, trademark and intellectual property. Since 1999 he has been the Editor-in-Chief for the twice yearly updates of Jack Woodward's Native Law, (Scarborough: Carswell, 1994). Eamon has appeared as counsel and co-counsel in Federal Court, Federal Court of Appeal, BC Supreme Court, BC Court of Appeal, and BC Provincial Court. He has spoken at numerous conferences, including the Sto:lo First Nations' Conference 2001: Bridging the Millennia, Bridging Cultural and Legal Traditions, and most recently, a conference entitled Effective Human Resource Management in Aboriginal Communities, and he occasionally lectures at the University of Victoria on aboriginal legal issues.
