As a lawyer at Woodward and Company, Keerit’s practice focuses on regulatory law, duty to consult, corporate commercial law, and as a general solicitor.
Keerit is originally from Burlington, Ontario, where he articled with a specialization in corporate and commercial law as well as regulatory law. It was, however, his passion for Aboriginal law that led him to take a position in Calgary where he practised in regulatory law and consultation issues for 2 years. Following this, he accepted a position at a firm in Victoria to expand his practice and was there for 2.5 years before finally joining the team at Woodward and Company in 2020.
Keerit holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science at the University of Western Ontario, Master of Arts in political science at the University of Windsor, Master of Business Administration at the University of Alberta, and a Juris Doctor at the University of Alberta. He is called to the bar in Ontario, Alberta, and BC.
Throughout his legal career, Keerit has appeared before the Alberta Energy Regulator, the old National Energy Board, and the new Canada Energy Regulator, assisting clients in the regulatory and duty to consult processes involved in natural resource development in Canada.
In his spare time, Keerit plays soccer, soccer and more soccer. He is also a supporter of the greatest club in the world, Manchester United.
