Devin Owpaluk is an Inuk whose family is from Salliq, Coral Harbour. Devin is deeply passionate about cultural awareness of the Indigenous reality and experience in a colonial setting. His work emphasizes resilience, strength, and the importance of celebrating Indigeneity, sustainable practices with the land, and incorporating a two-eyed approach into professional work. He is excited to join Woodward & Co. LLP, a firm at the forefront of advocating for Indigenous nations, businesses, and clients.

As an Indigenous Recruitment Specialist, Devin is committed to enhancing recruitment strategies and contributing to the firm’s mission of supporting Indigenous self-determination and justice. Devin aims to connect with Indigenous communities, foster cultural competence, and integrate Indigenous perspectives into the workforce.

Devin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Modern History from the University of Victoria, focusing on Colonization, Decolonization, and Contemporary Indigenous Issues. Devin’s dedication to cultural traditions and community engagement helps Woodward & Co. LLP continue to advance reconciliation and uphold Indigenous rights.

Outside of work, Devin enjoys playing and listening to all kinds of music, especially Jazz, exercising, and cooking.
