Geneva Grzybowski

She/Her

As a legal assistant at Woodward and Company, Geneva is committed to contributing to Canada’s decolonial process and brings her strong organizational skills, adaptability, and confidence to her work with great success.

Geneva was born in Squamish, BC and lived there until high school when she moved to Langley to compete in equestrian sports. She then moved to Nanaimo and attended school in Duncan before moving to Ottawa to complete her undergraduate degree in law, which set the foundation for her interest in decolonization and First Nations advocacy. Between graduation and joining Woodward and Company, Geneva worked as a paralegal in personal injury and estate litigation which deepened her interest in law and provided her with an opportunity to hone her legal skillset.

In her role at the firm, Geneva’s work sees her managing high volumes of electronic documents and providing technical expertise. Working side by side with the team’s lawyers and other legal assistants, she learns quickly and is fast to take initiative – traits which see her excel in her role.

Outside of work, Geneva is an ardent hiker who can often be found exploring the South Island with her dog, Seven. She enjoys gardening and home improvement projects. As for the future, Geneva has plans to attend graduate school and dreams of living self-sufficiently on a secluded farm.
