Driven by a passion for assisting Indigenous communities in advancing and safeguarding their constitutionally protected rights, Craig joined the W&Co. team in 2024. He is committed to supporting Indigenous peoples’ inherent right to self-determination by advocating for the recognition of Indigenous law within Canada’s broader legal framework and enhancing the economic capacity of Indigenous communities through sustainable commercial endeavors.

Craig has extensive experience as a legal advisor to Indigenous governments and businesses, specializing in Indigenous laws, governance, treaty implementation, lands, natural resources, commercial transactions, and corporate structures. Prior to private practice, Craig clerked at the Federal Court of Canada and worked as an environmental consultant, assisting with environmental site assessments and spill remediation projects. Additionally, Craig holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of British Columbia (2008) and a JD from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at UBC (2017). He has received the Indigenous Law Students Award (2017) and was a Blakes Scholar (2015).

Originally from Kitimat, BC, Craig shares ancestral roots with the Cree and Métis of Treaty 8 territory in Northern Alberta. Outside of work, he is a long-time guitarist, hockey player, outdoors enthusiast, and avid traveler.
