Sarah McMillan

As Woodward and Company’s Director of Knowledge Management, Sarah’s role involves designing processes to help firm members capture, connect with, collaborate on, and share firm knowledge.

Sarah grew up on Vancouver Island near Sidney, B.C. and lived in Calgary for 16 years before returning to Victoria in 2015. She attended Parklands Secondary School, studied as an undergraduate at the University of Victoria, underwent legal assistant training at SAIT in Calgary, and received her paralegal certification from Capilano University.

Before becoming Director of Knowledge Management, Sarah was a legal assistant at Woodward and Company for six years. Across both positions, her inherent desire to be of service and help others sees her thrive in her work, while her creativity, sharp memory, and love of software means she is able to bridge valuable connections between information and people.

With an eye for the future, Sarah is committed to developing her role into a force that supports the whole firm and contributes to everyone feeling more empowered in their work and connected to their colleagues.

Outside of work, she enjoys hiking in the woods, being near the ocean, and spending time with her husband, two daughters, and their yellow labrador.
