In her position as a lawyer at W&Co., Kelsie’s core focuses include Aboriginal title and treaty rights, consultation and accommodation, and governance support.
Kelsie holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Queen’s University, a Master of Applied Science in Water Resources Engineering from the University of Guelph and she graduated from the University of Victoria Law School, JD/JID Graduate (Dual degree program in Canadian law and Indigenous legal orders).
Prior to joining the firm, Kelsie also held a number of research positions at the University of Victoria Law School, where she conducted research to identify spaces for Indigenous governance, practices, and legal principles within various sectors, including forestry in British Columbia.
Kelsie is hoping to support Indigenous nations in navigating the Canadian legal system while reasserting and revitalizing their traditional legal systems.
